Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide and highly selective growth hormone secretagogue (GHS) that acts specifically on the GHS-R1a receptor. U nlike other GHRPs, it selectively stimulates pituitary GH release without affecting other hormones like ACTH, cortisol, prolactin, FSH, LH, or TSH, even at doses up to 200 × the ED50 for GH.
