Gonadorelin

(Synthetic GnRH) Gonadorelin is a synthetic decapeptide analog of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). It acts on GnRH receptors (GnRHR) in pituitary gonadotrophs, stimulating synthesis and release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), thereby regulating the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis. Mechanism of Action Pulsatile administration (e.g., 10 μg every 90 minutes subcutaneously) mimics physiological GnRH secretion, optimizing LH/FSH release. Continuous or prolonged exposure causes receptor downregulation and suppression of gonadotropins, useful in certain clinical protocols (e.g., IVF suppression phases). Directly influences spermatogenesis, ovulation induction, and gonadal steroidogenesis.
