GHRP-6

(Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-6) GHRP-6 is a synthetic hexapeptide and met-enkephalin analog that stimulates endogenous GH release. It acts through GHS-R1a (growth hormone secretagogue receptor) and CD36 scavenger receptor, which are widely expressed, including in cardiovascular tissues. Mechanism of Action Activates phosphatidylinositol turnover, protein kinase C, and intracellular calcium mobilization (cAMP-independent). Stimulates GH release both directly from pituitary somatotrophs and synergistically with GHRH. Supports cytoprotective and antifibrotic pathways through Bcl-2 gene upregulation and antioxidant enhancement. Unlike exogenous GH, GHRP-6 preserves physiological pulsatility of GH release.
